During blending trials of the 2016 Lot 1 the vibrancy of the Petite Sirah shined through making it the dominant variety in a blend of 55% Petite Sirah, 24% Petit Verdot, 15% Malbec and 6% Zinfandel.  It is a rich deep wine with aromas of blueberry compote, cherry soda, liquorish, saddle leather and vanilla.  The texture is plush and full as the wine flows over your palate with the deep smooth tannins that give this wine its signature style.  Blackberry soda, graham cracker, anise and molasses lead the way smoothing out to lavish dark chocolate and boysenberry syrup on the finish.  Enjoy through 2034.
